Applications are now open for the 2026 KPMG Private Enterprise Global Tech Innovator competition, which will allow technology entrepreneurs from South Africa and across Africa to vie for a spot in the global finals in Lisbon, Portugal.
In its sixth iteration, the competition is open to qualified enterprises and scale-ups from 13 KPMG. One African member country covers Southern, Eastern, and Western Africa. Applications will remain open until August 2, 2026.
Participants will first compete at the national and regional levels, with successful finalists moving on to the global competition to pitch their enterprises against technology startups from across the world.
KPMG stated that submissions will be examined by a panel of industry experts based on innovation, entrepreneurial capability, growth potential, customer focus, and risk awareness.
According to KPMG, the competition aims to boost technology companies’ visibility by linking them with investors, business leaders, and potential partners, as well as to promote African innovation to a global audience.

The winner will get the title of KPMG Private Enterprise Global Tech Innovator 2026.
